February 2010
Eleven shooters took home eleven prizes from the 14th Annual Edward T. Foster Memorial Shoot. That’s a win-win fun shoot! The high overall winner, Matt Rector, broke 44 out of 50 targets. Considering the flying, jumping, hopping, speed and distance of some of those targets, that is very good shooting. Congratulations Matt! The first place men’s trophy went to Al Weidenfeller who broke 35 out of 50. Al Weidenfeller defeated Lew Whiting who also broke 35 out of 50 in a shoot off and placed him in second place. Ray LaChapelle finished a respectable third with 29 out of 50 targets broken. The first place ladies event was won by Janice Whiting by breaking 34 targets of the 50. Great shooting Janice! Darbra Behrens took second with 28 out of 50 and Gwen Deiss finished a close third with 27 broken targets. These ladies can really shoot and are getting better all the time. Three other shooters Bill Dover, Bob Benz and Rob Benz, went home with an Indian Hammock embroidered patch commemorating the shoot. A box of Valentine’s chocolate went to Ken Potter for shooting so sweet. A lunch, courtesy of the Skeet/Trap Committee, of grilled cheeseburgers and hot dogs with all the fixings was served after the shoot.
